PODCAST: Right From Wrong
Hosted by Jacob Dunne, featuring Sandra Barefoot
“History, despite its wrenching pain, cannot be unlived, but if faced with courage, need not be lived again.” – Maya Angelou
Listen to the first season of Right From Wrong, a podcast hosted by Storyteller and Creative Strategist Jacob Dunne that explores the stories and solutions behind crime, punishment, and redemption.
In Season 1 Episode 6, Jacob is joined by our Executive Director, Sandra Barefoot, and together they discuss the power of storytelling and the “life-changing work” of The Forgiveness Project’s RESTORE Prison Programme, which is where Jacob was first able to find his voice and purpose.
Through recounting Jacob’s early days following release from incarceration, the two discuss why vulnerability is so hard in places like prison, how breaking down emotional walls can lead to real change, and how storytelling allows people to own their experiences and gain greater insight of how to make changes in their lives.

ONLINE RESOURCE: Conversations on Self-Forgiveness
You can also hear more from Jacob and Sandra in our on-demand series on self-forgiveness. The series features some of our many storytellers, as well as our Founder, Marina Cantacuzino, and long-time peer Dr. Masi Noor, each who explore the questions, complexities and ambiguities that make self-forgiveness so very hard.
Complimentary to the series is our online creative writing workshop, facilitated by Sandra alongside storyteller Anne-Marie Cockburn. This resource invites participants to reflect on prompts and poetry as a means of exploring how making meaning of our past can support us in our journey towards self-forgiveness.
This workshop offers the following:
Four video sessions that work in sequence (professionally captioned for people who are Deaf or hard of hearing).
Writing prompts and exercises.
A downloadable PDF resource.

Quote of the week
“To borrow from Harold Kushner, forgiveness is first and foremost a way of seeing. It cannot change the facts about the world we live in, but it can change the way we see those facts.” — Dr. Chuck Sandstrom

What a treasure trove this is, that's to be explored. I've just landed here thanks to a forward by Lawrence Kershen, moderator extraordinaire.
Here's my recent Substack about our criminal justice system:
Recruiting Michael Moore
The job is to change humanity's mind

I see the justice system giving us a pivot to the world of mutuality, that we have to find our way to or there won't be any civilization to restore people to. What they do in Norway is such a graphic lesson that I keep working with it.
How could I not know about you, and then only find out accidentally? This wasn't my first rodeo on Substack with this issue, yet we never crossed paths. I wish this were a better platform for engagement. Especially now that we have no leadership from the government, it's valuable to link up with each other. More to say after I look at your material.
PS: An ask, that got no response, that I put in Substack: "To get Recruiting Michael Moore delivered to him." If you are connected to him, please pass it along.
