We are excited to invite you to the Forgiveness Café, a new series of online gatherings designed to explore forgiveness in the everyday.
These sessions provide a unique opportunity for compassionate conversations on forgiveness and its application to our relationships and friendships.
Capacity is capped at 40 participants per session, and we will be running a total of six ‘Forgiveness Cafés’ throughout this year.
We really look forward to welcoming you to the Forgiveness Café and growing this new community! For further details on our first online gathering in May, please click on the button below.
NEW STORY | Julie Lambert
At the age of 22 Julie Lambert caused an accident which seriously injured her friend, John (not his real name). Later she was sued for negligence in a civil lawsuit that lasted two years.
“Forgiveness is more of a practice, a cyclical process that may need to be renewed every time I’m reminded of my humanity.”
The shock of unintentionally harming someone can cause serious trauma and for many years Julie searched for peace and self-compassion, something she was only able to consider after joining The Hyacinth Fellowship, an organisation that provides support, resources and community to people who have unintentionally harmed or killed another person.
Our F Word Exhibition is looking for a new (temporary) home!
Our F Word exhibition is the oldest resource we have here at The Forgiveness Project – indeed, it was the original collection of stories of forgiveness that catalysed the charity you know today!
We’re currently looking for someone in the UK to either host our exhibition or provide storage until autumn 2025 while we plan its next steps. If you have a space (big or small!) or know someone who might be able to help, we’d love to hear from you!
Here’s what we’re looking for:
• A space to host the exhibition (such as galleries, studios, or community spaces)
OR
• A secure location to store the artworks/materials until November 2025.
This would be a huge support to our work, and potentially a great opportunity to showcase our stories to your wider community.
Please do consider sending us a message at info@theforgivenessproject.com if you are interested or would like to know more!
Quote of the week
“I’m going to carry the harm that I’ve done to my grave and I should. But, if I let that harm continue to harm me, I don’t believe that I’m honouring my victims.” - Arno Michaelis
